Tv Card problem

Hello.
I seem to be having trouble getting the tv tuner to work, I dont know if its me but media centre wont display any tv channels etc, any help would be welcome. TV tuner is MPC788

I know this maybe a stupid question, but often the problem is very simple...

1. Have you plugged an aeriel into the socket
2. Have you scanned for channels
3. If above two are ok, have you checked in device manager to make sure you have a tv tuner

Yes done all that but only said it found 6 channels, but it then could`nt play them etc. also plugged it into main arial but just the same. It shows up ok in the device manager etc. Do you have to run it through media or can it be done any other way?

Hi Andy,

Can you check and see if you have a program called Cyberlink PowerCinema installed? If so please go through the setup process in this program and see if you can get a picture?

If you can't find it, put in the TV Tuner driver cd (from memory it has MCP**** on the front) and navigate to XP/PowerCinema and then run the setup.exe file. The activation code for it is on the CD cover.

Let me know how you get on with that, sometimes Media Center is a bit fussy although we do always test them before they leave us so hopefully it is just a setup issue.

Thanks Andrew, I installed the vista version but now done the xp version and working fine now, many thanks for the support.
