Convincing the Wife I need One!!!!

Hello Peoples
Well Andrew & Co, You've really gone and done it now hav'nt you??..Here's me thinking about Purchasing a Half decent Gamming Laptop for about the past six to 9 months if i'm honest,(mostly working out how to tell the missus I really do need a laptop that cost more than i would really like to tell her) if you get my drift ;)...
Anyway after reading about this and that Laptop and looking on numerous other sites and not really being drawn by many, I read this months "CustomPC" and all about your G860. Well now I thought, That looks quite promissing (although really I was wanting a 17 or 18" screen) and so took the time to look at your site, GREAT!!!!! Does just what a Good site should do, and to top it all you got G870 with a 17+ screen:D...Ohhhhhh and you got a lovely shinny 18+ one as well!!!!..
Now Look!!!!! As i said I was having enough trouble choosing a Glory Laptop and Convincing the Wife It was the only way to go and I really do need one so she can have the old one (4 year old Dell) and she wont have to worry about Damaging or Corupting any of my stuff if I have a Laptop of my own.. Good so far??...I think she's Going for it you know, she's saying well wait until the January sales, and see what you can pick up!!...Well thats like a green light to me:D..
The Problem I have is in deciding which one to go for??..Maybe someone could help me decide with just a couple of questions I have...If I go for the Comanche Sli But only have the one GPU card for now (Due to funds) would I be able to then at a later date Purchase another Card (same spec) and put it in when Funds allowed??..I cant really go above the £1700 mark or she would cut my "Gonads" off for sure if she ever found out:eek:...
The other Laptop I was looking at was the G870 with 4Gb Mem & a 500Gb Drive,Blue tooth, One of the main reasons for me first of all looking at the G780 was the Intel i7-720 cpu, I have read its an awesome Laptop chip and runs reasonably cool compared to some others??..I dont know much about the cpu in the Comanche "Intel 2Duo P8400 2.2Ghz".. Indeed...in escence I guess I'm asking is the extra screen size and alround great reviews I've read about the "Comanche" (and extra dosh) worth getting my nuts cut off for????.

I do Love to play Games on My Laptop but it would also be used for ordinary Home and small buisness use (I have just set up my own Taxi buisness).. Sorry this is so long and drawn out.....I'm Excited you see...Because I know i'm Going to buy me a New Shiny "Ball Busting" Laptop real soon now:D

decisions decisions. actually imo owning a kobalt computer is worth getting your nads chopped :D
i fell in love with the comanchi sli when i saw the worlds first prototype being unboxed at the gadget show earlier this year. it is well and truly a replacement desktop as its so big but there are members out there that carry it around so its plausable.
ive not seen a 870 yet as the first delivery didnt come in on time the day i visited kobalt but from the spec it does look a beast of a machine.

wait for a few more members who own these machines to reply and then make your decission.

ps. if id does happen then reconstruction is dooable but make sure all the knives in the house are sharp :eek::D

Thanks for the Welcome MrDJ & for the "Sharp Knives" reminder!!;).. Took Delivery of new set off Kitchen Knives Yesterday, So now at least the "Gonads" should come off fairly Cleanly :eek:....

I am Nearing that point where I place an Order :D.... Gonna Call the Sales Peoples this week sometime to find out how the back orders are going & Wether its worth Ordering Now or abit later when perhaps things calm down abit :)...Thats one thing i've noticed reading the Forums here, that the "Kobalt Crew" are working there Nuts off..(Well at least I wont be on my own Being "Nutless");)...

Its looking like I'm opting for the "Comanche Sli" but just with the one 280 card with the hopeful option to being able to put the other card in at a later date, But will talk with Sales and see what options are open to me on that!!!

I know that the V.A.T rate goes up to 17.5% again in January, So am thinking it best to get my order in before then.....Anyway.....Sorry i'm rabbiting again :rolleyes:... Again Thanks for the welcome & your wisdom :).

If you can at all afford SLI somehow now, Id recommend it. Second cards can be a PITA to obtain. Im sure you'll enjoy the machine whichever way you go though!

Thanks for that Alex, I know your right........And well to be honest...I guess she can only Cut the "Gonads" off the once, wether its for one card or two!!! ;)
