Excess Of Style
Kobalt can create any look or colour scheme imaginable from UV cable braiding (first system integrator to offer UV braiding!) or Kobalt’s unique Extreme UV wrap to full custom paint design. You can also combine 63 fluid dye/coil wrap options with multiple fan and pipe options.

Water Cooling
Beware of imitators! You may see other companies selling similar products but look behind the scenes and the similarities end. Years of testing and experience mean that not only do our engineers pick the best components but also know why they perform better and can match them up with other components to create the most efficient water cooling loop possible.

Water Blocks

We work closely with companies like EK Waterblocks and CoolIT Systems to be able to integrate their products first and in innovative ways. You will find the best performing components in our systems and we won’t skimp on the quality or quantity in any system, whether £2000 or £8000.


 
Overclocking

This is what most of our customers are most interested in and for good reason! As a guide we will usually over clock a non extreme CPU to a minimum of 3.8GHz and an extreme to 4.0GHz. Ultimately on water the CPU over clock is limited to temperature and as a rule we will clock the CPU so that it just reaches the throttling point under a Prime95 Small FFTs stress test (76C). So you won’t see silly temperatures like 90C from our systems!

We also over clock graphics cards as standard on our ICE systems, the importance of which is often neglected. Over clocking GPUs will actually provide better performance gains than the CPU over clock in the majority of games and is a service most other companies don’t offer. Each system is different but as a rough guide you can expect a 100MHz over clock on a GPU Core.


Radiators
Kobalt uses a combination of Feser and Black Ice® radiators depending on the location and space restrictions in the chassis. We have kept our range to the Silverstone TJ-07 and Lian Li V2010/V2110 as they both enable us to install a minimum of 1 x quad and 1 x dual radiator. This capacity means that even with 1 x CPU and 1 x GPU cooling you will have an extremely quiet and cool running system. With 1 x CPU, multiple GPU and chipset cooling we will add a triple radiator and split the loop in two – all you need to do is choose the components and we will cool them in the most efficient way!

Fan Control
The mCubed T-Balancer is used as standard on every ICE system. By taking a temperature reading directly from the CPU we can control four thermal areas independently with their own pre-set behaviour. A typical system will be lower rad, top rad, intake fans and exhaust fans. As Feser radiators perform better with low flow fans and Black ICE perform better with high flow fans our engineers can configure the fan control specifically for each thermal area and so combine the most efficient cooling with the lowest acoustics.
